Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Cochin & Transfer to Munnar (130 Kms – Approx. 4 Hrs)

Upon arrival at Cochin, proceed to Munnar, a breathtakingly beautiful haven of peace and tranquility. Situated at 1,600 meters above sea level, Munnar boasts vast tea plantations, pristine valleys, and mist-covered mountain peaks. The region is home to exotic flora, including the rare Neelakurinji flower, which blooms once every twelve years. En route, enjoy scenic views and visit local attractions.

Day 2: Munnar Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Explore Eravikulam National Park (entry ticket extra) — note that the park will be closed from January to March 2025. Visit Mattupetty Dam (entry ticket extra), a gravity dam offering stunning landscapes and opportunities for trekking in the surrounding Shola forests. Continue to Kundala Dam (entry ticket extra), where you can witness the mesmerizing Neelakurinji flowers during their blooming season. Enjoy the serene beauty of Munnar’s tea estates and rolling grasslands throughout the day.

Day 3: Transfer from Munnar to Thekkady (85 Kms – Approx. 3 Hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Thekkady, a paradise for nature lovers and spice enthusiasts. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, spread across 777 sq. km, is home to diverse wildlife, including elephants, tigers, sambar deer, and Nilgiri langurs. A 26-sq-km artificial lake adds to the scenic beauty of the reserve.

Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and later explore Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (entry ticket extra). Optionally, enjoy a boat ride at the Periyar Tiger Reserve by booking tickets in advance through the official website: www.periyartigerreserve.org.
